One day I saw an old woman coming into the bus. She came closer to another woman and said that she should stand up because she’s an elderly person, so why she didn’t do it earlier?
I was very surprised about this rude behavior, I understand she was older, she could be sick or just tired but this is not the explanation for not being cultural. Although younger woman was confused, left a set without saying.
I don’t think it should happen, every person has the same rights and can give a sit if he/she wants. That’s not an obligation to do something for older people, it’s nice to help them but when they’re unpleasant maybe we should think about it one more time?
That’ a case for everyone to consider by themselves and a free choice. I hope every person, unconditionally from age would make a right decision if he/she wants to help or just say sorry, I’m also sick or exhausted and I can’t do that for you today.

    Generation gap never dies! But I gather your post is more about being civil towards others than about old people trying to claim their rights.

Last time, I noticed we care too much. Much more than our grandparents or even parents. Not only about what other people think but about everything around us. And I'm not saying this is bad, it isn't at all. We should care about our schools or jobs, friends etc. The problem comes when we spend all of our free time doing our job or even homework and we ignore the rest of the world. What it sad, it happens much more often recently. So we should still care about iportant things but somethimes it's better to quit this a little and do what we really want to do. For me, it's much more evolving than we think.

What does it mean to be a "real man" in XXI century?

Although it's XXI century being a man still has two definitions. First, is really old. This is definition for people who think that "real man" has to be in shape, always working or with his friends. He can be mean to women, just because he's a man.  Second, is more modern and means respecting woman, being neat and helpful.  This is so much more true, luckily more people believe in it now.

It's quite common to go to sleep lately. Maybe even more of us do that than don't. We know what we should do- everyone tells us from our childhood. But we still don't go to sleep early. It can be caused by many obligations that we have or society treating long sleep as something bad. For me, sleeping shortly and going to bed lately became kind of indication of working hard. I can be wrong but I noticed we started caring much more about a feeling of success than about our health and mood during the day. And even if I know a few poeple living in a different way, for most of us changing bad sleeping habits is only a good plan for the future.
